Literature Text

People say that death is easy.
It isn't.
Dying is the most horrifying thing ever.

You lie there, alone, more alone then you've ever been alive.
Everything around you fades before your eyes, turning an empty black.
That emptiness fills your body.
You try to move, but your muscles have already stopped working.
You try to cry, to scream, call out for help as the air leaves your lungs, but you can't make a sound.
Then you're floating.
Floating in the blackness.
The blackness is cold.
Cold and empty.
Cold and empty and endless.
You cannot see anyone there, but you can feel others there.
You want to call out to them, but you have no voice.
You reach out, but feel nothing.
You're alone.
Alone in the infinite blackness.

You can feel a warmth in the darkness.
You reach towards it and touch it.
The warmth is soft and beautiful.
Then you hear it shriek.
And the warmth is gone.
It fled from your grasp.
And you're alone in the darkness once more.
a.k.a. "The Life of a Ghost"

a description of death and what comes after
many of the ghosts i met are like this

i think this is what afterlives of suicides are like

FYI, this doesn't have anything to do with heaven, hell, purgatory, or any other religious belief; this is just what i've encountered myself

i will admit though, this description of the afterlife is similar the Greek's afterlife, the Sheol (which means "the sorrow" because of their sorrow for the loss of their life)

This is intense! I seriously felt the agony being described. I look forward to reading more of your writings. :D
